To Our Fellow Shareholders
Thank you for your support over the past months. We’ve been busy since our last update in May and thought
this would be a good time to provide a short summary of things that have happened.
Nanotech 2007 Poster Sessions
We participated in a poster session at the Nanotech 2007 conference in May. Our session, entitled “Growth
and Engineering of High Aspect-Ratio AAO Templates Integrated on Silicon Substrates”, described how we
make our nanowires on silicon. In addition, Kevin Leonard of SolRayo presented a poster entitled,
“Synthesis and Characterization of Electrochemical Capacitors Using Nanoporous SiO2”.
Both sessions garnered a lot of interest from many among the estimated 4,000 people who attended.
Our Newest Board Member
We are proud to welcome Cathryn S. Gawne to our Board of Directors. Ms. Gawne is a respected corporate
and securities attorney based in San Jose, California. She’s been practicing law in these fields for over 25
years.
Her practice focuses primarily on emerging growth companies in a variety of industries, including wireless
and portable information technologies, mining, telecommunications, software, automotive and retail. She
advises companies on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, franchising, SEC compliance,
intellectual property and general corporate matters. She also serves on a number of non-profit and advisory
boards.
Her clients include Human BioSystems, Vinoble Inc., Semotus Solutions, The Bobby Jones Golf Company
and D2M. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Association for Corporate Growth in the Silicon Valley,
the Women in Technology International Foundation, the Center for Healthy Development, and other
organizations.
She has also represented Enable IPC as its legal counsel since the company’s inception. She knows our
business plan and is a strong supporter of our efforts. We are happy and honored to have her on board.
Blog
Although they may not seem like much on the surface, corporate blogs are quickly becoming valuable
communication tools for companies. Our blog, which can be found at www.enableipc.com/blog, is up and
running.
In the future, we anticipate entries by some of our key personnel, including Dr. Mark Daugherty and Timothy
Lambirth. We encourage you to visit it once in a while and see what’s on the minds of the people here at the
company.
Microbattery Technology
In addition to our mostly standardized procedure for creating nanowires, we have been pursuing alternative
ideas that should be even less expensive than our current method. These include the use of certain sol
gels and other battery chemistries.
We are also continuing to explore methods of combining our nanowires with electrode layers to provide the
surface area we are looking for while ensuring enough material to provide the energy needed for our target
applications.
Ultracapacitor Technology
Over the past couple of months we have been working to optimize the nanoparticle solution and the coating
processes to attain the most coverage on the electrodes and produce the most effective performance
results. We have narrowed the procedure down to a very effective set of steps.
In the coming weeks and months we will continue the effort to meet the target specifications, package alpha
units and then deliver beta units to prospective users.
Upcoming Events
Annual Meeting of Shareholders
Our Annual Meeting of Shareholders is scheduled for July 26, 2007 at 9:00 am at the Tournament Players
Club in Valencia, California, not far from our corporate offices. The actual meeting itself is expected to last
only a few minutes, but we will be having a presentation and Q&A session afterwards. Shareholders of
record as of June 11, 2007 are invited to attend. Additional information will be announced in the next few
days.
NanoTX ‘07
Enable IPC will be exhibiting at NanoTx ’07 in Dallas, Texas, October 2-4, 2007. NanoTx is one of the largest
nanotechnology conferences in the world with a wide range of highly qualified attendees, including
educators, scientists, R&D management and business development personnel.
In addition, Kevin Leonard will be presenting a paper on our ultracapacitor technology. We will have more
on this event in the coming months.
We encourage you to check out this conference. It is one of the largest and best known nanotech-related
events. Among the attendees and participants last year were many major corporations and dignitaries
(including the mayor of Dallas, the governor of Texas, Prince Andrew, H. Ross Perot and others).
In Conclusion
Again, thank you for your support. We hope these updates, the blog and press releases (and, of course, our
SEC filings) will serve to keep you informed on our progress.
